Social Positions

The Fellowship of Evangelical Bible Churches has formulated several statements to explain what it believes to be the biblical position on various social issues. Each issue was carefully researched before the position was written. The statement was then reviewed and revised by the FEBC Executive Committee.
Each of these statements has also been reviewed by the local FEBC congregations, which have often provided additional suggestions and clarifications. The statements were then revised again by the FEBC Executive Committee, redistributed to congregations, discussed in delegate sessions, and approved by the FEBC delegates at an annual convention.
Our goal is to clarify what we believe the Bible says about these social issues, then offer suggestions on how local congregations can respond to the biblical material to help their people “become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life … ” (Philippians 2:14-16 NIV).
